Our history begins with a courageous and visionary idea: to nominate 1000 women for the Nobel Peace Prize in order to give more visibility and recognition to women's peace work worldwide.
Have you ever wondered how prejudice affects our thinking and what feminism has to do with peace?
In nine episodes of the podcast "Conversinha Afiada", Vera Vieira, a long-standing Brazilian member of our network, and her team explain various concepts from "intersectionality" and "gender identity" to "femicide". In the 10-minute episodes they show how feminism and peace work are connected. The podcast is available in Portuguese, Spanish and English and is also (but not only) suitable for anyone starting to explore feminism.
With the Feminist Peace Initiatives, we finance projects that are developed in our network so that inputs from transnational exchange formats can be translated into local activities.

Transregional learning exchange in the Philippines: Hope and inspiration for peace work
Two representatives of the Gender Working Group of the Colombian Truth Commission exchanged their experiences with peace activists from the Philippines. Many moments of recognition and understanding emerged at during these exchanges. Interview with our programme managers Andrea Filippi and Karin Widmer.
