175 years peace in Switzerland: visions for an active peace nation

On 12 September 1848, the old Confederation becomes a federal state. Political peace in Switzerland is just as old as the Federal Constitution. But where does the peace nation of Switzerland really stand today? We invite as many people as possible to join the discussion at the 6th Swiss Peace Conference.

The theses developed by the working group "Rethinking Security" of the Schweizerischer Friedensrat (SFR) will serve as impulses for discussion. These theses are to be fleshed out: What new paths are to be taken so that we can feel secure in our everyday lives?

The results of the peace conference, which were worked out together, will be further elaborated and processed at the subsequent "Ilanzer Sommer" festival and by the Swiss peace organisations, and will be incorporated into the further development of Switzerland's future peace and security policy.

This conference is organised by the Forum für Friedenskultur in cooperation with the SFR. We will be present at the World Café. Join us and help shape Swiss peace policy!
