Our colleagues Karin Widmer and Laura Reymond-Joubin will be presenting on women’s participation in peace processes at the 9th Phenomenal Women Global Leadership Conference on Friday, 17 October 2026 in Geneva.

The conference brings together women from diverse professional, cultural and generational backgrounds to reflect on women’s leadership today and on the futures women are building. The aim of the conference is to connect personal experience with practical learning and professional growth to achieve meaningful collaboration and collective impact.

The theme “Her Story” recognises that every woman’s journey is a source of knowledge, leadership and creativity.

Karin and Laura have a wealth of experience, knowledge and creativity. Their presentation will however focus on the women and feminist activists who build peace every day, drawing on PeaceWomen Across the Globe’s work with its partners. They will give examples of women’s contributions to peacebuilding during and after armed conflicts and during peace negotiations and demonstrate how PeaceWomen Across the Globe supports them so they can participate fully and equally in all stages of peace processes.
